My dad was born in Puerto Rico Feb. 17, 1917. He came to the states to live with his father when he was 8 years old. Dad enlisted into the U.S. Army in 1942, where he fought in WWII. I now have two sons who are both with the USMC. One of my sons just came home from a tour in Afghanistan. Dad would have been very proud of both of them.
